Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) Terms
Standard Publishing Confidentiality Agreement
This Non-Disclosure Agreement defines the strict confidentiality terms under which Nick Hill, operating as MeantToBeRead.com, handles your unpublished manuscripts.
1. Definition of Confidential Information
"Confidential Information" includes your manuscript (.docx file), any developmental notes, concepts, characters, plot outlines, and personal details submitted during the editorial process.
2. Obligations of the Editor
MeantToBeRead.com and any assigned senior editors agree to:
- Hold the Confidential Information in the strictest confidence.
- Not use the Confidential Information for any purpose other than providing the agreed-upon
editorial services.
- Not disclose, publish, or distribute the manuscript or any derivative ideas to any third party.
3. Artificial Intelligence Protections
While the ALINE engine utilizes LLMs to analyze text, we exclusively use enterprise-tier APIs that prohibit data retention for model training. Your text is transmitted via encrypted channels, processed in isolated sessions, and is never incorporated into public AI models.
4. Term
The obligations of confidentiality shall remain in effect indefinitely until the author publishes the manuscript or the information otherwise becomes part of the public domain through no fault of the editor.
5. Jurisdiction
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
